Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language because we think you deserve to understand it — not just agree to it.
The Relationship Stack ("we," "us," or "the company") operates a digital product ecosystem that helps individuals and couples understand and improve the structure of their relationships. To provide this service, we collect certain information from users who interact with our platform.
This policy applies to all three modules of the platform: the Optimal Partner Profile, the Relationship Architecture Evaluation (RAE), and The Connection Stack. It covers information collected through our web application and any emails we send.
We collect only what we need, use it only for the purposes described here, and do not share it in ways you would not expect. If you have questions about anything in this policy, we're easy to reach — see Section 10.
We collect different types of information depending on how you use the platform. Here is a straightforward breakdown:
| What | When | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you choose to save your results or create an account | Optional — you can use the platform without it |
| Assessment responses | When you complete the OPP or RAE questionnaires | Required to generate results |
| Partner email address | When you choose to invite a partner to a shared evaluation | Optional — only if you use the Partnership feature |
| Payment information | When you purchase a paid module | Required for purchase — processed by Stripe, not stored by us |
| Basic usage data | Automatically, when you use the platform | Collected passively — see below |
Assessment responses include your answers to questionnaire items across all domains — values, emotional regulation, attachment, conflict, lifestyle, and vision. These responses are processed to generate your profile and evaluation results.
Basic usage data may include device type, browser type, general location (country or region), pages visited, and time spent on the platform. This data is collected in aggregate and is used to understand how the platform is being used and to improve it. It is not linked to your identity unless you have created an account.
Aggregated assessment data. We store anonymized, aggregate results of our assessments (such as profile types and domain scores) with no name, email, or account identifier attached. We use this only to understand population-level patterns and to publish aggregate, non-identifying insights. It is never linked to you as an individual.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes — and nothing else:
We do not use your personal data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating and improving this platform.
Important: Each participant's assessment responses are entirely independent and are never shared with the other participant, with third parties, or externally in any identifiable form. Your partner cannot see your individual answers — only combined results are presented, if both evaluations are complete.
When you use the RAE Partnership feature, you may provide your partner's email address to send them an invitation. Here is exactly how that information is used:
By inviting a partner, you confirm that you have their consent to share their email address with us for this purpose. Your partner's use of the platform is governed by the same Privacy Policy.
We send email only when it is relevant to your use of the platform and only if you have provided an email address. We do not send unsolicited marketing email.
You may receive the following types of email from us:
You can unsubscribe at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us directly to be removed from all communications. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect transactional emails related to active purchases or evaluations.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure. We use Supabase for database storage, which provides encrypted connections and managed access controls. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment platform — we never receive or store your full card details.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold:
No system is completely immune to risk. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within a reasonable timeframe — see Section 8.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes. This is not a policy we intend to change.
We work with a small number of trusted service providers whose tools are necessary to operate the platform. These providers have access to only the data they need to perform their specific function, and they are not permitted to use it for any other purpose:
We may also share information if required to do so by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request. In those cases, we will share only what is legally required and will notify you where permitted by law.
In the event of a business transfer — such as a merger or acquisition — user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that occurs, we will notify users and ensure the same privacy commitments apply.
You have meaningful control over your data. Here is what you can do at any time:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 10. We will respond within 10 business days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
For material changes — changes that meaningfully affect how your data is collected or used — we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly, either by email (if we have your address) or by a visible notice on the platform.
Continued use of the platform after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically if you would like to stay informed.
We will never retroactively change how we handle data that has already been collected without giving you the opportunity to review and, if necessary, delete your data first.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of your data rights, or have a privacy concern you'd like us to address, please get in touch. We take these requests seriously and aim to respond within 10 business days.
When contacting us about a data request, please include your email address (if you provided one) and a brief description of your request so we can respond as efficiently as possible.
